What You'll Do

As the Defense & Security (D&S) Sector Manager within BCG's Public Sector Practice Area (PA), you will work closely with Sector and PA leadership to develop and execute the sector strategy. The role will be an integral and influential contributor to the development and growth of BCG's D&S sector. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sector strategy: Support sector leader in end-to-end development and execution of the sector strategy and annual plans. Translate the strategy into concrete initiatives and drive and track implementation with stakeholders. Identify, conceptualize, and drive focus initiatives and business priorities of the sector.
Business development: Identify new business opportunities and drive business development activities, including identifying critical new IP and competitive intelligence and monitoring lead flow, proposal pipeline and sold cases.
Thought leadership: Contribute to the D&S sector intellectual property and thought leadership through publication and speaking engagement support
Reporting and budgeting: Own and monitor sector budget in coordination with global practice. Analyze and report sector's business performance and budget utilization throughout the year.
People: Develop people plan and facilitate implementation (e.g., sourcing Senior Advisors, Expert Consultant (ECT) recruiting, staffing support), working closely with HR across the various regions
Affiliation and internal communication: Identify and manage list of affiliates across BCG cohorts. Set agendas for and lead organization of global and regional sector meetings and calls and prepare key presentations. Manage internal sector communication (including distributional lists, newsletters etc.)
External marketing: Contribute to planning and organization of sector's client events, sector thought leadership and SATT in coordination with the Practice's marketing team. Own the sector content on BCG.com and be the liaison to industry platforms and associations that the sector partners with

Leading others, including senior business leaders in clarifying problems and developing solutions by building cross-sector partnerships - building consensus, persuading and influencing.
Motivating others to deliver highest standards, providing direction, mentoring and coaching.
Supporting business development initiatives, including priority proposals and selling materials, in partnership with ECT and KT team


What You'll Bring

8-10 years of relevant experience
Role related certifications preferred

Who You'll Work With

You will work with the Sector Leader, Regional Practice Area Leaders and their leadershipteams when setting the strategic agenda and driving implementation. For additional tasks,you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector Managers, HR, Marketing,and Knowledge Teams within the PA. Further interfaces exist with other Regional Managersas well as global and regional BCG functions and teams as needed

As a member of this team, you willcontribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including contentdevelopment, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, andinternal/external communications.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

The base salary range for this role begins at$126,000 in our lowest cost US region and goes up to$169, 670 in our highest cost US region. Your recruiting contact can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 20%and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
