Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect)

Location: Bridgewater NJ or Plano, TX (Hybrid)

 

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a senior Cloud Solution Architect with strong experience in cloud advisory, migration, modernization, and enterprise transformation. The ideal candidate combines deep application engineering expertise with the ability to define target-state architectures, lead executive conversations, and drive large-scale cloud programs across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Core Qualifications

  • 18–20 years of software design and development experience, including a strong application development background
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with cloud technologies across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud advisory, migration, and transformation programs
  • Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migration, transformation, and modernization initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architecture patterns
  • Ability to define cloud solutions that meet non-functional requirements, including scalability, availability, security, performance, and resilience
  • Hands-on understanding of Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM
  • Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS services, networking concepts, virtual private cloud design, load balancing, application gateways, and traffic routing
  • Experience with DevOps practices, cloud-native delivery models, and CI/CD toolchains
  • Experience deploying applications on virtual machines, Kubernetes, and platform services
  • Cloud Architect-level certification is required
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and solution articulation skills

Preferred Capabilities

  • Experience applying AI and LLM-based solutions to cloud transformation, engineering productivity, or delivery acceleration
  • Knowledge of observability solutions, including both cloud-native and cloud-agnostic platforms
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows using GitHub and GitLab
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes-based application platforms

  • FinOps: CoreStack, CloudHealth

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead executive-level discussions to present cloud capabilities, transformation strategies, and solution options to customer stakeholders
  • Drive cloud advisory engagements and define strategic cloud roadmaps aligned to business and technology objectives
  • Define target-state architectures and solution blueprints for cloud migration, transformation, and modernization programs
  • Assess cost implications, develop TCO models, and help build business cases for executive decision-making
  • Articulate the role of AI in migration and transformation initiatives, including opportunities for automation and delivery acceleration
  • Own technical governance and solution assurance for large migration and transformation programs
  • Define AIOps processes and post-migration automation strategies to improve operational resilience and efficiency
  • Recommend tool stacks and solution approaches for observability, FinOps, and cloud operations
  • Contribute to CoE initiatives and help build accelerators that improve delivery speed, quality, and reuse
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, architects, and cross-functional CoE groups
