Job Summary:
The Research Administration Senior Scientist position supports Hartford HealthCare (HHC) research investigators in the design, analysis and review of all research projects, including preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. The candidate will bring expertise in advanced statistics and biomedical research, and work in collaborative teams with clinical investigators from a variety of clinical areas of research. The individual will participate in the mentorship of medical students, residents and fellows, and interact with clinicians, clinical research staff and the HHC Institutional Review Board (IRB). The position reports to the HHC Director of Research.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree with minimum 3 to 5 years research experience, including complex biostatistical analyses of clinical data, work with databases, and grant writing. A candidate with a Master's degree with significant independent research experience and all other qualifications may be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant research proposal development, study design and statistical procedures.
  • Expertise in advanced statistical analysis (using software such as SPSS or R), relevant database management skills and use of multivariate data sets.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with healthcare partners and students.
