Role Summary

As a Senior Remarketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our US and Canadian operations by driving operational excellence in trade-in valuation, vehicle transportation, logistics, storage, and disposition.


This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the automotive or technology industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Your ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions will be vital to the success of this role.


The ideal candidate is a results-oriented individual with a passion for process improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and support broader company initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Thrive in difficult, complex, and ambiguous situations; uses a mix of prior experience and natural curiosity to build unique solutions to some of the toughest problems in automotive.
  • Manage trade-in valuation program with a balanced mindset of enabling new car sales while maximizing profitability.
  • Manage wholesale disposition of non Rivian trade-ins.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on inventory status, and partner performance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve department and company KPI goals.
  • Manage, train, and guide external partner relationships for the success of Rivian.
  • Utilize functional, analytic, and technical experts to get a holistic view of initiatives and strategy; goes the extra mile to ensure all decisions and planning is complete with relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Trailblaze new processes in both the United States and Canada as Rivian continues expanding deliveries into new markets.
  • Work with Delivery Operations, Service Operations, Customer Engagement,
  • Logistics, and other internal departments to uphold the process, SOP’s, and documentation to enable Remarketing support.
  • Be an agent of change that owns effective communication of company messages; ensures that the entire team is informed of the vision of our business.
  • Create clear tactics and action steps when developing high level strategy, coach team to success through a combination of open questions, effective listening, and accountability to both goals and the team success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across the organization; make yourself available to assist others with their initiatives and companywide goals.
  • Train and mentor team members and partners on best practices and standard operating procedures.
    Possess both strong and professional communication capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of operational experience working in a high-volume environment that specializes in vehicle valuations, auction disposition strategies, transportation & logistics, DMV operations, lienholder communications, and is considered a functional expert in this domain
  • Prior OEM or Dealer Remarketing experience a plus
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments and key stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain a constant feedback loop on developing processes while working creatively to independently problem solve
  • Experience in analyzing reports; creating action plans based on data using tools like Excel, Databricks, Tableau, and internal reporting to identify trends and drive results
  • Prior experience with EV and Automotive Ecommerce
  • Expert Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Google Suite, Smartsheet, Salesforce to create spreadsheets, documents, and presentations
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% based on business demands
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed to support retail sales operations
  • Readiness to climb (literal & figurative) mountains to deliver the best trade-in experience on the planet

Physical Requirements

  • Weekend availability required as this role supports the field operations
  • Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in a full service retail center or unpredictable weather conditions
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
  • Strong understanding of written and spoken English
  • Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $71,900 to $94,000 for Georgia based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees. You may also have the opportunity to participate in Rivian’s 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program if you meet certain eligibility requirements. Full-time employee coverage is effective on their first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
