A Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for leading and overseeing engineering projects related to infrastructure such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. They manage project teams, develop detailed designs, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Senior Civil Engineers often provide expert guidance, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in budgeting, scheduling, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior civil engineer?

To thrive as a Senior Civil Engineer, you need a strong background in civil engineering principles, project management, and a relevant engineering degree with a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
