While the majority of our employees are hybrid, the following classifications drive our current minimum onsite requirements:

In this role, you'll help develop reliable systems, databases, interfaces, reports, and documentation while partnering with IT and business stakeholders.

What to Expect

This is a hybrid work opportunity for Arizona residents. In this full-time role, you will maintain and develop systems and programs, participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle, create documentation and reports, troubleshoot processing issues, and support internal customer requests. You will have the flexibility to work remotely 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week at our award-winning healthy campus in Phoenix. The in-office requirements are subject to change based on organizational need.

As a Programmer, you'll get to:

  • Maintain and develop basic to complex systems and programs using appropriate structured programming techniques and programming languages.
  • Participate in the development, review, and creation of documentation used to support associated systems.
  • Design and code systems, programs, and interfaces; develop and maintain databases; and create logic, system, and program flows.
  • Write and execute unit test plans, track and resolve processing issues, and support code and system reviews for design standards, content, and functionality.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle and follow established source control versioning policies and procedures.
  • Analyze files and map data from one system to another.
  • Create ad hoc reports for internal and external customers and respond to research questions or requests from internal customers.
  • Participate in or lead projects, including developing time and cost estimates, system modification schedules, presentations, and implementation support.
  • At senior and lead levels, independently develop complex systems, mentor junior programmers, support technology planning, and help implement new procedures, workflows, manuals, and training materials.
  • For Programmer II and Programmer III roles assigned SCRUM responsibilities, facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, backlog support, cross-team coordination, and team performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED in a general field of study required for all levels.
  • Experience in computer/information technology: Level 1: 1 year; Level 2: 3 years; Level 3: 5 years; Level 4: 7 years.
  • Experience in programming, query design, and database development: Level 2: 1 year; Level 3: 3 years; Level 4: 4 years.
  • Project management experience: Level 3: 1 year; Level 4: 3 years.
  • Knowledge of query design and ad hoc report creation tools.
  • Programming languages and coding ability sufficient to meet the requirements at each level of responsibility, as defined in departmental documentation.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, structured programming, data mapping, and testing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
