The Manufacturing Engineer Senior is responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes by applying
knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials with other internal areas of
Roush. The role will improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space
requirements, and fixture development. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will develop and improve
manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching and improving existing prints,
designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, as well as other
manufacturing responsibilities. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will serve as the subject matter
expert (SME), able to train and lead a team of engineers within a complex program.

As a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will:
  • Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for capacity requirements, product design,
    engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns
  • Develop process flow and line layout requirements
  • Develop and implement effective work Instruction
  • Define capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of the
    program
  • Project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling
  • Project Manage the ME requirements of the Product Development and Launch Processes
  • Facilitate the implementation of production equipment and tooling into the manufacturing
    facility and any corresponding technical training
  • Assess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns
    and manage action items to resolve
  • Provide coaching and assistance to entry level mechanical engineers while acting as a SME and
    provide training and guidance
  • Lead special projects and/or continuous improvement activities
To be considered as a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will need:
  • Must qualify as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to accommodate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance (Defense)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, emphasis in manufacturing, welding
    and or assembly processes
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production-based environment
  • Good driving record.
  • Knowledge of production weldment fixtures, low volume production manufacturing and
    assembly
  • Ability to conduct time studies and workflow analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 processes and procedures
  • Proficient with MS Office with the specific ability to create project plans
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, work independently and
    execute plans while providingleadership to the team
A successful Manufacturing Engineer Senior candidate may also have:
  • Experience with automotive, aviation or defense industries
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing (robotics, moderate volume automation, programmable
    logic controllers (PLC Controls)
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations
    (ITAR) compliance
  • Experience leading a team in complex programs
  • Knowledge of code welding terms
  • Knowledge of APQP process
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
