We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Digital Product team and partner closely with Product Owners /Product Manager s , business stakeholders, and technology teams. This role is responsible for understanding business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing impacts across multiple system s , customer journeys, integrations , channels and operational processes to help ensure end-to-end solutions align with business needs. The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a key link between business, product, and development teams, helping translate ideas and business objectives into clear, actionable requirements that support successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner Across Business, Product, and Technology
  • Collaborate with Product Owners /Product Managers , business stakeholders, developers, architects, and vendors to understand business objectives and product initiatives.
  • Support the translation of business and product goals into functional requirements and solution specifications.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to gather and refine requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure requirements, solutions, and recommendations support customer outcomes, business objectives , and product goals.
Requirements Analysis & Documentation
  • Analyze business, functional, system, operational, customer, and product data to validate requirements, identify opportunities, and support product decisions. Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) processes.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and gaps that may impact delivery.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, and implementation activities.
Systems & Process Analysis
  • Develop an understanding of how applications, services, APIs, data, and business processes interact across the organization.
  • Analyze end-to-end processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes across systems, integrations, customer experiences, operational workflows , risks, dependencies and implementation considerations
  • Create process flows, workflow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and other artifacts that support solution design and team alignment.
Support Delivery & Execution
  • Own requirements and analysis deliverables from discovery through implementation.
  • Ensure requirements are clearly documented, traceable, and understood by stakeholders.
  • Support testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs and functional expectations.
  • Follow up on open questions, dependencies, and action items to support successful product delivery.
Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments involving business , product , and technology teams.
  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories.
  • Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, journey maps, or similar documentation.
  • Strong communication , facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in situations where requirements evolve over time.
  • Experience supporting digital banking, financial services, payments, security, fraud prevention, or other regulated customer-facing products is a plus.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting digital products, customer-facing platforms, or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, data flows, and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart , Miro, Visio, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, analytics, or reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of customer journeys, user experience concepts, and digital product practices.

  • Must have worked at least 18 months in the current position and as a Popular regular employee.
  • Must have received an Overall Rating of Effective or higher in their most recent performance evaluation. Employees with an Overall Rating of Partially Met or Not Met will not be considered.
