Job Summary (List Format): Senior Business Systems Analyst – FX Platform Modernization
- Lead and support a large-scale modernization of the organization’s Foreign Exchange (FX) trading platform.
- Analyze existing FX trading architecture, workflows, and systems, focusing on the legacy Spectrum FX platform.
- Document system integrations, dependencies, and downstream impacts across enterprise applications.
- Define strategies and roadmaps for migrating from the current Spectrum FX platform to Calypso and a new client-facing FX trading solution.
- Collaborate with business leaders, technology teams, and vendors to establish future-state requirements and align technology with business objectives.
- Evaluate Calypso capabilities and support its integration into the FX trading ecosystem.
- Identify migration risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruption.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with trading, operations, treasury, and technology teams.
- Analyze end-to-end FX trade lifecycle processes for process improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the modernization initiative, bridging business and technology teams.
- Support planning and implementation of a new client-facing FX trading portal integrated with Calypso.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and support user adoption and training initiatives as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst in financial services or capital markets.
- Deep knowledge of FX products, trading systems, and trade lifecycle management.
- Experience with platforms such as Calypso, ION Spectrum, or Wallstreet FX.
- Hands-on experience in large-scale platform migrations or enterprise modernization.
- Strong understanding of system integrations and enterprise application architecture.
- Proficient in gathering business and technical requirements from multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Calypso implementation or configuration.
- Experience migrating from Spectrum FX platform.
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (e.g., MT300, MT103, MT202).
- Familiarity with treasury, payments, capital markets technology, APIs, and microservices.
- Experience leading user adoption, training, or organizational change initiatives.
