The Role We Want You For
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be working with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to provide Mechanical HVAC Design and Quality Assurance on projects for our nationwide clients.
Projects will consist of distribution, industrial manufacturing, life sciences, food and beverage, or other industrial process markets for existing building improvements and new construction.
The Specifics of the Role
  • Lead mechanical HVAC engineering design and analysis including conceptual and schematic design, feasibility studies, and full construction documentation (drawings and specifications).
  • Design mechanical systems including water, chilled water, HVAC, wastewater, cooling towers/condensers, boiler/steam, hot water, compressed air, and plumbing.
  • Lead and mentor junior level Mechanical Engineers and Designers.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, Procurement, and Preconstruction groups throughout the design process to support target-based value designs.
  • Senior Mechanical Engineer is involved from the beginning to foresee preliminary design challenges.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
  • PE License is required to seal engineering documents, with the ability to attain licenses in multiple states.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related HVAC design experience, and knowledge of HVAC Systems Applications and Implementation.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical codes and building material thermal values along with the ability to perform accurate load calculations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit experience preferred.
