Job description

Job Title: Control Engineer

Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Employment Type: Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Control Engineer with a strong background in PLC and HMI systems to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of hands-on experience in control systems engineering, with expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens HMIs, and Bradley Global Common platforms. Candidates with prior experience in Trim General Assembly projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC systems.
  • Configure, integrate, and support Siemens HMI applications for automated systems.
  • Work with Bradley Global Common architecture for system standardization and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Provide technical support, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within control systems and automation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in controls engineering.

Strong expertise in:

  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation).
  • HMI Development (Siemens).
  • Bradley Global Common controls architecture.
  • Experience in Trim General Assembly highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
