About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the fast-growing Mobile Device Management Team at NinjaOne, you will be contributing to our Unified IT Professionals Operations product suite, designing and implementing scalable new solutions and product improvements. Providing clean and optimized coding solutions, you'll work to develop high-quality software applications that exceed our customers' expectations — seriously our customers love our products.

The MDM Team drives innovation by collaborating directly with industry leaders like Apple and Google to shape and execute our enterprise mobility strategy, and develops cutting edge solutions for iOS, Android, Chrome OS and Windows devices.

We hire the best software engineers, but experience in our stack can't hurt: NinjaOne is built on Java, Kotlin, Golang, C++, and Postgres; supporting millions of user endpoints and running as a scalable cloud service across microservices on AWS. Knowing large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture will help you.

What You'll be Doing

  • Kotlin, Java Software Development — use your expertise to contribute to the development of large-scale software applications across our backend services. Make quality an invariant part of your work and help your fellow engineers continue to meet our quality-first standards.
  • Committing Code and Shipping Products — you will be one of our most trusted engineers utilizing AI to deliver solutions. Responsible for implementing design patterns and working on enterprise level software challenges, in a startup environment. Impact product more hands-on than at other companies, building software on a scale that runs on millions and millions of endpoints.
  • Work on bleeding-edge multi-agent systems with AI powered tools that remove boilerplate and let you focus on true innovation.
  • Other duties as needed.

About You

•          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

•          10+ years’ experience in Kotlin or Java software development for product applications or equivalent.

•          4+ years’ experience working with highly scalable software systems

•          Working knowledge of breadth of OOP design principles.

•          Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using frameworks like Spring boot.

•          Expert knowledge of relational Database design and development experience.

•          Experience creating both client and server-side development for responsive messaging.

•          Experience with RabbitMQ; familiarity with Kafka is a plus.

•          Hands-on experience developing microservices, deploying on ECS and running them in AWS.

•          Exposure to DevOps practices and tooling is valued

•          Caching systems expertise and experience with Redis is preferred.

•          Solid expertise in Kotlin will make you a standout candidate.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington the base salary hiring range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000 per year.

For roles based in New York, the base salary hiring range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000 per year.
