Job description

Location: ONSITE in Menomonee Falls, WI

Contract: Initially 6 months with likelihood of extension long-term

Position Summary

We are seeking TWO experienced Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineers to design, build, and manage enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with deep AWS architecture expertise, strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, and the ability to lead cloud modernization initiatives while mentoring technical teams.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have experience with the following:

  • Advanced expertise designing, managing, and supporting enterprise-level AWS environments
  • Strong knowledge of AWS best practices, including: AWS Control Tower, AWS Well-Architected Framework, CloudFormation for Control Tower (CfCT)
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using: AWS CDK and AWS CloudFormation
  • Proven experience deploying and managing production AWS infrastructure using IaC
  • Strong programming experience with TypeScript, including familiarity with the TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystem (npm, pnpm, yarn, linting, bundling, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
  • Build and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
  • Support cloud architecture, networking, and modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cloud-native solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and promote Infrastructure as Code and cloud best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud performance.

Education

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience.
  • Strong background in AWS cloud architecture and automation.
  • Experience with networking, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building serverless applications using: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB
  • Experience with container platforms such as Amazon EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, or Docker
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
  • Experience with Terraform, cloud governance, and infrastructure automation
  • Strong understanding of AWS networking, hybrid cloud architecture, and security best practices
