Job description

Position Summary
  • Support process development, production, and characterization of early and late-stage viral vectors (lentiviral vectors and/or adeno-associated viruses) for engineered T cell manufacturing.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise for internal/external collaborators across tech transfer, process characterization, and pre-clinical/clinical process lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform handsโ€‘on upstream viral vector development/optimization (mammalian cell culture, stirred tank bioreactors, transient transfection); downstream experience (clarification, AEX chromatography, Tangential Flow Filtration) is a bonus.
  • Support process and technology development for viral vector manufacturing platforms.
  • Support late-phase development, including process characterization.
  • Design, plan, execute, and analyze lab experiments using statistical design of experiment (DOE) principles.
  • Maintain documentation in an electronic lab notebook.
  • Summarize/present data and communicate progress.
  • Author technical documents (protocols and internal development reports).
  • Follow lab safety rules and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • B.S. with 5+ years or M.S. with 2+ years of handsโ€‘on upstream experience (downstream is a plus).
  • Ability to use DOE approaches; interpret results using statistical software (e.g., JMP).
  • Independently motivated; multitask, problemโ€‘solve, train others on lab operations, and coordinate within a team.
  • Strong interest in biological mechanisms of cell/gene therapy products and impact on patients.
  • Clear oral presentation and technical writing skills.
