Position Overview

Are you a visionary designer ready to transcend standard aesthetics and master the art of purposeful environments? We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to serve as a creative catalyst and strategic leader within our Atlanta studio. In this role, you will move beyond execution to true authorship—steering high-impact projects from the first spark of a concept through the final walkthrough. You are not just designing spaces; you are sculpting the human experience across sophisticated senior living, healthcare, and hospitality sectors.

Joining our team means immersing yourself in a culture that values design as a vehicle for wellness and legacy. We offer a sophisticated platform where your 8–15 years of expertise will be met with autonomy, mentorship opportunities, and the resources of a premier firm. Here, you will find a fast-paced, collaborative environment designed to accelerate your career trajectory while you contribute to some of the most meaningful developments in the Atlanta market and beyond.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design Vision & Leadership: Architect the creative direction for complex interior environments, developing compelling narratives through mood boards, space plans, and immersive presentations.

  • Project Stewardship: Steer the full project lifecycle, ensuring design intent is meticulously maintained from initial conceptualization through construction administration and final installation.

  • Technical Excellence: Produce and oversee the development of high-fidelity construction documents, detailed drawings, and technical specifications that meet rigorous industry standards.

  • FF&E Strategy: Lead the selection, curation, and procurement of high-end Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment, leveraging a deep knowledge of materials and global vendor networks.

  • Collaborative Integration: Sync seamlessly with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure interior systems are perfectly integrated within the broader architectural shell.

  • Client Ambassadorship: Serve as the primary technical and creative point of contact for stakeholders, presenting complex design solutions with clarity and conviction.

  • Operational Oversight: Manage multi-project workflows, timelines, and budgets, ensuring the firm's standards for profitability and quality are consistently exceeded.

  • Talent Development: Act as a mentor to junior design staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical refinement within the studio.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Experience: 8–15 years of progressive professional experience within a design or architectural firm.

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced command of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; professional proficiency in Revit is required for project delivery.

  • Technical Acumen: Deep knowledge of building codes, materials, and the construction process as it relates to large-scale commercial or institutional projects.

  • Portfolio: A robust body of work demonstrating successfully completed projects from concept to close-out.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure: NCIDQ Certification is highly preferred.

  • Market Insight: Proven experience and a strong professional network within the Atlanta AEC market.

  • Sector Expertise: Specific background in high-end senior living, healthcare, or hospitality design.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing small teams and complex project budgets.
