The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for Franco-Arab/ Francophone Arabic Speaker Translators and Interpreters (must have both Arabic & French) professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA.
This is a travel only role. You will be deployed for 6 to 8 week's at a time, back for 4 weeks to 8 weeks and out again.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role will enable you to utilize all your French, Arabic and English linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either lead or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.
  • Translation - Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that contain facts and some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances.
  • Generally capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text. Word choice and expression generally adhere to target language norms and means of expression specific to subject field(s) and are strong enough to allow translator to operate successively in that field.
  • Interpret accurately. Typically, consecutive interpretation is needed, but simultaneous interpretation (French and/or Arabic to English and English to French and/or Arabic) may be requested on occasions.
  • Has a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
  • Transcription - Review audio or internet materials and transcribes with a high degree of accuracy and expression.
  • Possess excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
  • Has a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to pass an advanced English test
  • MUST Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
  • Must have an active US Passport and ability to deploy
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
  • Minimum five (5) years' professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
  • In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
  • Master use of MS Office and internet research

  • Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects
