About the Opportunity

Weโ€™re partnering with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure firm that is hiring an experienced Senior Civil Engineer - PE to join its Pensacola, FL team.

This is a strong opportunity for a licensed civil engineer who wants to work on meaningful municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects while potentially stepping into a leadership role based on experience.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, permitting, civil design, and project management. Youโ€™ll be involved in the design, analysis, planning, and delivery of civil engineering solutions that directly impact the communities you serve.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing
  • Lead and support the design of civil infrastructure projects for public-sector clients.
  • Work on projects involving stormwater, drainage, ponds, collection systems, conveyance, hydrology, and hydraulics.
  • Prepare engineering evaluations, technical reports, progress reports, and design documentation.
  • Develop cost estimates and assist with project planning and budgeting.
  • Support permitting efforts, including coordination with jurisdictional agencies.
  • Prepare permit applications and supporting technical documentation.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and support staff to deliver projects accurately and on time.
  • Help manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with municipal, county, state, and federal partners.
  • Contribute ideas and technical solutions that improve infrastructure and community outcomes.
What Theyโ€™re Looking For
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7+ years of civil engineering experience or related infrastructure experience.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • Florida PE preferred, or ability to obtain Florida licensure.
  • Strong background in stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, pond design, collection, and conveyance systems.
  • Experience working with permitting agencies and preparing permit applications.
  • Project management and budgeting experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft 365, ICPR, or similar modeling software is a plus.
