The Sr. Application Developer, RPA/Workday is an experienced professional who performs design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise automations across both Workday and UiPath platforms, while also supporting, maintaining documentation, requirements gathering, and collaboration with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and maintains Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and RaaS.

  • Supports secure file transfers, REST/SOAP APIs, and data exchanges with external systems (ADP, iCIMS, ServiceNow) etc.

  • Develops UiPath workflows, including REFramework-based automations for HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal use cases.

  • Maintains and improves existing UiPath bots, including error handling, scheduling, and reporting.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT to gather functional and technical requirements.

  • Prepares and maintains functional & technical documentation, test plans, support guides, and assists with UAT.

  • Participates in Workday Releases, Cloud migration activities, ensuring integration continuity and performance.

  • Contributes to Agentic AI readiness initiatives and supports RPA enhancements using AI/ML components where applicable.

  • Applies foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts (e.g., document understanding, NLP, structured decisioning, generative extractors).

  • Follows American Heart Association development standards and change management processes.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • UiPath Developer certification preferred.

  • Workday Certification preferred

Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience with Workday integrations and 3+ years with UiPath RPA development.

Skills:

  • Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON

  • UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework

  • SFTP setup, PGP encryption, data mapping

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts used in automation (e.g., classification, document understanding, generative AI extractors, cognitive automation)

  • UiPath & Workday Cloud migration awareness

  • Analytical Thinking, Functional & Technical Documentation, Collaboration, Functional Translation

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will be $120,000 - $130,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
