Job description

Worldwide Events and Experiences brings the best of Apple to life, showcasing our products, services, and the values that drive our company. From global product launches and tailored creator experiences to impactful partner engagements and inspiring internal events, this team is responsible for managing end-to-end planning, production, in-person experiences, and all the unique details that make these events exceptional. The team includes professionals with backgrounds in event design, management, operations, broadcast, and production. We're looking for inventive and collaborative people from a variety of creative and technical fields.
We're seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Production to lead a critical pillar within the WW Events organization focused on production. This role operates at the intersection of live event production and film production, requiring a unique hybrid skillset across both disciplines. You will bring new ideas, technologies, and production approaches that evolve how we connect with global audiences.
Description
The Senior Manager, Technical Production will lead the strategy and execution of all non-theater productions, spanning live remote presentations, concerts, corporate events, media briefings, film-based productions including iPhone capture workflows, and much more. This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class production across a wide range of environments, from large-scale, high-visibility live events to agile, lightweight remote productions.
You will oversee the development of production workflows that seamlessly integrate live broadcast, cinematic capture, and post-production pipelines. This includes ownership of technical production standards across video, audio, lighting, LED systems, and recording workflows. You will partner closely with Technical Operations and Stage Production teams to ensure alignment across infrastructure, signal flow, and execution strategy.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to operate in no-fail scenarios with executive stakeholders, while building and scaling a high-performing production team.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in live event production, film production, or hybrid production environments, with demonstrated leadership across large-scale, high-visibility events.
Deep expertise in both live production and cinematic production workflows, including camera systems, recording pipelines, and post-production processes.
Strong understanding of film production set operations, including roles and responsibilities across departments such as directing, camera, grip, electric, sound, and video village.
Advanced knowledge of widely used and leading-edge video codecs, formats, and recording systems.
Strong understanding of color pipelines, LUT workflows, HDR formats (PQ, HLG), and color grading processes using tools such as Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Expertise in lighting design for both film and live environments, including hands-on experience with modern LED lighting systems and lighting control protocols.
5+ years of experience with LED display systems with deep knowledge of scaling, pixel pitch, image processing, production switchers, and content mapping.
5+ years of experience in live and recorded audio production, including large-format console operation, RF coordination, microphone techniques, and multi-channel audio formats.
Working knowledge of live streaming and broadcast infrastructure, including encoding workflows, signal transport (SDI, ST 2110), and delivery systems.
Experience designing and executing power distribution and redundancy strategies for live production environments.
Proven experience leading productions in high-pressure, executive-facing environments with no-fail expectations.
Experience with location scouting and production planning across diverse environments including corporate venues, outdoor locations, and remote setups.
Strong understanding of production storage systems, media management workflows, and data integrity practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading production for global keynote events, concerts, or large-scale corporate productions.
Familiarity with advanced mobile production workflows, including iPhone-based capture and emerging tools such as Final Cut Camera.
Experience with immersive and spatial audio formats, including Dolby Atmos.
Strong understanding of emerging production technologies, including advancements in LED, virtual production, and next-generation capture workflows.
Experience working in highly confidential environments with strict security and quality standards.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across disciplines.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and production quality.
