The team includes professionals with backgrounds in event design, management, operations, broadcast, and production. We’re looking for inventive and collaborative people from a variety of creative and technical fields.
We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Production to lead a critical pillar within the WW Events organization focused on production. This role operates at the intersection of live event production and film production, requiring a unique hybrid skillset across both disciplines. You will bring new ideas, technologies, and production approaches that evolve how we connect with global audiences.
Description
The Senior Manager, Technical Production will lead the strategy and execution of all non-theater productions, spanning live remote presentations, concerts, corporate events, media briefings, film-based productions including iPhone capture workflows, and much more. This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class production across a wide range of environments, from large-scale, high-visibility live events to agile, lightweight remote productions.
You will oversee the development of production workflows that seamlessly integrate live broadcast, cinematic capture, and post-production pipelines. This includes ownership of technical production standards across video, audio, lighting, LED systems, and recording workflows. You will partner closely with Technical Operations and Stage Production teams to ensure alignment across infrastructure, signal flow, and execution strategy.

Operate effectively within film production environments, partnering closely with directors, DPs, ADs, and department heads to align on creative intent and technical execution.
Lead lighting design and execution across productions, including both cinematic lighting techniques and large-scale live event lighting systems using DMX-controlled environments and advanced fixtures.
Oversee display systems and workflows, including LED pixel pitch selection, aspect ratio planning, content mapping, and processor configuration (Megapixel, ROE, etc), ensuring color accuracy and visual fidelity.
Direct audio strategy across productions, including live sound, broadcast audio, and film audio capture. This includes large-format console environments (SSL, Yamaha, DiGiCo, etc), RF coordination, microphone selection and placement, and support for immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio.
Partner with Technical Operations teams to align on signal flow, routing, and transport systems, including SDI, ST 2110, and IP-based workflows, ensuring redundancy and reliability across all production systems.
Design and implement power and redundancy strategies, including UPS systems, generator backup, load balancing, and failover planning for mission-critical production environments.
Lead location scouting efforts, evaluating technical feasibility including power, acoustics, lighting conditions, logistics, and infrastructure readiness across a wide range of venues and environments.
Oversee mobile and agile production workflows, including advanced iPhone capture techniques using Final Cut Camera and Blackmagic Camera App, enabling high-quality production in lightweight environments.
Manage production storage and media workflows, including SAN/NAS systems, high-speed ingest, data integrity, and backup strategies across on-site and remote productions.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing production team, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and development paths.
Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, engineering, and executive stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear and actionable communication.
Own and manage large-scale production budgets, including forecasting, vendor management, and cost optimization.
Drive continuous innovation in production technologies, workflows, and tools to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability across global events.
Willingness and ability to travel globally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading production for global keynote events, concerts, or large-scale corporate productions.
Familiarity with advanced mobile production workflows, including iPhone-based capture and emerging tools such as Final Cut Camera.
Experience with immersive and spatial audio formats, including Dolby Atmos.
Strong understanding of emerging production technologies, including advancements in LED, virtual production, and next-generation capture workflows.
Experience working in highly confidential environments with strict security and quality standards.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across disciplines.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and production quality.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in live event production, film production, or hybrid production environments, with demonstrated leadership across large-scale, high-visibility events.
Deep expertise in both live production and cinematic production workflows, including camera systems, recording pipelines, and post-production processes.
Strong understanding of film production set operations, including roles and responsibilities across departments such as directing, camera, grip, electric, sound, and video village.
Advanced knowledge of widely used and leading-edge video codecs, formats, and recording systems.
Strong understanding of color pipelines, LUT workflows, HDR formats (PQ, HLG), and color grading processes using tools such as Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Expertise in lighting design for both film and live environments, including hands-on experience with modern LED lighting systems and lighting control protocols.
5+ years of experience with LED display systems with deep knowledge of scaling, pixel pitch, image processing, production switchers, and content mapping.
5+ years of experience in live and recorded audio production, including large-format console operation, RF coordination, microphone techniques, and multi-channel audio formats.
Working knowledge of live streaming and broadcast infrastructure, including encoding workflows, signal transport (SDI, ST 2110), and delivery systems.
Experience designing and executing power distribution and redundancy strategies for live production environments.
Proven experience leading productions in high-pressure, executive-facing environments with no-fail expectations.
Experience with location scouting and production planning across diverse environments including corporate venues, outdoor locations, and remote setups.
Strong understanding of production storage systems, media management workflows, and data integrity practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $233,900 and $351,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
