The Senior Analytics Engineering Developer will lead the design and delivery of scalable analytics solutions leveraging Epic EMR data. This is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for complex data modeling, solution design, and technical leadership within the team.
This role reports to the Director, Analytics Engineering - Epic.
This is a Full Time, hybrid, Senior Analytics Engineering Developer role located in Brentwood, TN.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data models and transformations using Epic Clarity/Caboodle data.
  • Lead the development of complex analytics solutions, data products, and reporting layers.
  • Write, optimize, and review advanced SQL and transformation logic.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured, high-performance data solutions.
  • Establish and enforce analytics engineering best practices, including data modeling, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with stakeholders, data engineers, and Epic teams to ensure alignment and data integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex data quality and performance issues.
  • Engage in code promotions, CI/CD workflows, and production support activities.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement of the analytics ecosystem.
  • Participate in agile team processes such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 + years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data engineering.
  • Strong experience with Epic EMR data, including Clarity and/or Caboodle.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling (dimensional modeling, normalization, etc.).
  • Proven experience building and supporting production-grade analytics solutions.
  • Experience with modern analytics engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks).
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Omni, Qlik Sense, Qlik NPrinting, Power BI.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Epic Cogito or Clarity certifications preferred.
  • Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices preferred.
  • Experience with workflow tools such as Jira or ServiceNow preferred.
  • Deep experience in healthcare analytics or clinical/operational data preferred.
