Job Summary:

The Lead Business Analyst is a senior individual contributor and functional leader within the Resort Application Development (RAD) Mountain Support team. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical resort applications, integrations, and data platforms. The Lead Business Analyst is also expected to serve as a quality champion for the Mountain Support team, regularly performing and leading QA-related activities. The role requires the ability to seamlessly transition between Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Production Support responsibilities as business priorities evolve.


The Mountain Support team is responsible for production support, operational stability, incident response, enhancement delivery, technical debt reduction, modernization initiatives, and performance optimization for applications supporting front-line resort operations.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, technical aptitude, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing planned project work with unplanned production support responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and coach BAs and QAs, establish best practices, serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Production Support & Incident Management: Lead incident triage, root cause analysis,troubleshooting, stakeholder communications, and on-call support. Utilize SQL extensively to investigate production issues, analyze data anomalies, validate fixes, and support root cause analysis.
  • Business Analysis & Enhancement Delivery: Gather requirements, refine Jira tickets,support backlog prioritization, and partner with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Integration Management & Technical Analysis: Support enterprise integrations environments, deployment configurations, for both legacy and cloud-hosted applications and services.
  • Quality Assurance & Validation: Perform QA, UAT, regression testing, and postdeployment production validation. Organize and facilitate demos to stakeholders.
  • Batch Processing, Reporting & Data Operations: Support batch platforms, reporting processes, reconciliations, and data investigations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Technical Debt Reduction: Drive stability, modernization,performance improvements, automation opportunities, and technical debt reduction.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Application Analyst experience.
  • Experience in production support for enterprise applications, leading incident investigation and resolution activities.
  • Ability to analyze application behavior across databases, integrations, APIs, and cloud-hosted services to support incident resolution and deliver business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery.
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and refining business and functional requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, troubleshooting scripts, and data analysis against relational databases.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting QA, regression testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft Azure, or other Cloud-based applications and services.
    • ActiveBatch, SSIS, or similar scheduling and ETL tools.
    • SSRS database reporting.
    • Dynatrace, Splunk, or other monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Jira and Confluence (Atlassian) proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting point-of-sale (POS), retail, hospitality, or resort operations systems.
  • Exposure to deployment and release management tools: Octopus, LaunchDarkly (Feature Flag management)
  • Knowledge of PCI, SOX, and related compliance requirements.
  • Designing and developing automated test cases.
  • Familiarity with SnapLogic, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other integration platforms.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence (AI), process automation, intelligent workflows, or emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
