    Sehlhorst Equipment Services is seeking a motivated Layout Engineer Co-op to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field to gain hands-on, real-world experience supporting the design and layout of equipment, facilities, and production systems.


    What You'll Do

    • Assist in creating and revising equipment and facility layout drawings using CAD software
    • Support space planning and workflow optimization projects
    • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to gather layout requirements
    • Help develop and update 2D/3D models and technical drawings
    • Participate in site visits and measurements to verify existing conditions
    • Assist with documentation, redlines, and drawing revisions
    • Support project teams with technical research and data collection
    • Present findings or project updates to team members as needed


    What We're Looking For

    • Currently enrolled in a college/university program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
    • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing preferred
    • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
