Job description

The Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day transactions for all the LLC’s in their Group.  This specific position will also be the liaison working with the Company’s Insurance Broker for procuring and tracking numerous Property and GL insurance policies.  This role requires a person who is detailed, analytical, creative, and enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accounting for several LLC’s
  • Prepare Loan Draws for LLC’s under Construction
  • Reconcile Bank Accounts and Loan Activity
  • Post Land Purchases and Loan Closings
  • Post Lot Sale Closings and Maintain Lot Costing Worksheets
  • Monitor Builder Receivables.
  • Review Month-End Financial Statements
  • RE Taxes and Lot Inventory Management
  • Review Invoice entries posted by Accounts Payable; assist with AP as needed.
  • Set-Up New LLC Quickbooks, as needed.
  • Process 1099’s at year-end.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Background in Accounting (Required)
  • Strong Mathematical and Analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and/or other Accounting Software
  • Knowledge of Property and General Liability Insurance a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines without guidance

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 Years Experience in Accounting (Required)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the office; this is not a remote position.
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
