Aprio's Client Accounting Services Technology & Ecommerce team is looking for anOnboarding Accounting Associate to join their growing team. We are a team of highly skilled accountants that work in a collaborative, supportive and congenial environment to provide expert accounting services to a variety of clients in the technology and ecommerce space. 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of modern accounting and finance technology stacks, with a strong focus on tech-enabled and ecommerce businesses, ensuring solutions align with client operations and growth needs.
  • Support client accounting across a variety of industries, with an emphasis on technology, ecommerce, and highgrowth clients, driving efficiency, scalability, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Gain hands-on experience with a broad range of accounting, finance, and ecommerce tools, such as NetSuite, Rillet, Intuit Enterprise Suite, A2X, Cin7, Ramp, Maxio, Rho, Sums, Bitwave, and Reach Reporting, while demonstrating curiosity and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • Perform detailed accounting cleanup, issue identification, and problem solving, applying a techforward and processoriented mindset to improve data accuracy and workflows. 
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring records are complete, well-documented, and ready for review by senior team members.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver a strong client experience focused on operational efficiency and longterm success.
  • Assist in developing accounting and system strategies that align with client business models, ecommerce platforms, and transaction flows, translating complexity into clear, actionable outcomes.
  • Support and, as experience grows, help lead projects involving data conversions, system implementations, and file migrations, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with internal teams and stakeholders by providing clear updates, documenting decisions, raising questions early, and managing expectations throughout the onboarding and implementation lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, openness to feedback, and interest in expanding technical and accounting skills in a fastevolving tech and ecommerce environment. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong foundation in accounting technology implementation and data management, with interest or experience supporting techenabled and ecommerce accounting processes.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with modern accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar platforms; exposure to larger or emerging systems a plus.
  • Understanding of core accounting principles, including financial statements, cash flow, reconciliations, and expense management. 
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose thoughtful solutions, with a willingness to ask questions and learn new approaches.
  • Experience supporting or assisting in the design and implementation of accounting and finance technology stacks, tailored to client operations and transaction flows.
  • Handson experience with historical accounting cleanup and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Proven ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies within financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, paired with clear written and verbal communication, strong organization, and effective time management.
  • Selfmotivated and accountable, with the judgment to work independently while knowing when to escalate questions or issues.
  • Experience supporting projects, initiatives, or implementations, with familiarity using project management and workflow tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt in a fastpaced environment, and deliver highquality work within established scope and timelines.
  • Experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders, communicating professionally and confidently, including exposure to senior or executivelevel contacts.
  • Advanced Excel skills, along with experience documenting processes, creating training materials, or supporting the rollout of new tools and workflows.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn, with an interest in staying current on emerging accounting technologies, ecommerce tools, and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 


Preferred Skills 
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software products like Xero, Intacct, BILL, etc.
  • Familiarity with Project Planning tools such as Wrike 
$70,000 - $100,000 a year
The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
