Job description

Accounting Supervisor

Location: Boca Raton, FL Area Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join an established organization in the Boca Raton area. This position will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, cost allocation, and team development, while working closely with senior finance leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor who is ready for increased responsibility, competitive compensation, and career advancement. Previous Assistant Controller experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead month-end close activities and preparation of monthly financial reporting.

· Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

· Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff.

· Support accounts payable, commissions, and billing-related accounting functions.

· Assist with annual audits and accounting process improvements.

· Support the annual budgeting process and maintain departmental budgets.

· Prepare budget-to-actual variance analysis and partner with department leaders on results.

· Maintain and reconcile cost allocations across departments, entities, and cost centers.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

· Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.

· Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and/or cost allocation.

· Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Experience mentoring or supervising accounting staff preferred.

· CPA and multi-entity accounting experience are highly desirable.

Schedule

Following the initial training period, the position offers a hybrid schedule of four days in-office and one day remote. Training is expected to be fully in-office and may last up to six months.

Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization. Employer sponsorship is not available.
