Job description

The Duty Station for this position is Fort Belvoir, VA. You will be expected to physically reside within commuting distance of Fort Belvoir, VA if selected.Qualifications:Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
  • Progressively responsible work experience which demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of NAF human resources.
  • Managerial experience which includes leading a team or department in developing long-term strategic HR plans, overseeing full-life cycle personnel administration, and advising senior leadership.
  • Strong written and oral communication

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Experience coordinating policies with other Department of War agencies and entities like the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) to ensure standardization and compliance.
  • Experience directing, planning, and executing a comprehensive, agency-wide Human Resources program (preferably for NAF employees) and/or Experience within the past 2 years serving as the Chief of a Human Resources Office with responsibility for NAF employees or as a Chief or Human Resources Specialist at a region, HQ, or comparable level within the Department of War or its components.
Education:Education is not required for this position and will not be utilized in determining minimum qualifications or as a substitution for experience unless indicated in the vacancy.
