Job description


Leads School Meal Program operations, overseeing menu planning, production records, and nutrient analysis to ensure alignment with established nutrition standards. Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to assigned associates to ensure operational effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service management, nutrition education, institutional management, or related science.
OR
Completion of a coordinated undergraduate program, internship, or other clinical component approved by AND (formerly ADA) for dietitians or nutritionists, and three (3) years of experience.
OR
Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
Major Duties
Administers the School Meal Program, ensuring compliance with federal nutrition standards; oversees menu development, production records, and nutrient analysis.
Promotes nutrition awareness and supports age-appropriate assessments and data collection. Conducts internal reviews and analyzes participation data to inform menu planning and optimize commodity utilization.
Coordinates special diet accommodations in partnership with DoDEA Health Services, maintaining accurate and confidential records. Ensures adherence to NSLP and DoDEA standards by overseeing food safety, quality, and consistency.
Collaborates with regional specialists to enhance food presentation, service quality, and overall program effectiveness.
Performs other duties as assigned.
