Your day as a Beautician

As a Beautician at Crandall Medical Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around providing high-quality beauty services to our residents. You can expect to perform haircuts, styling, and other grooming services while ensuring that each client feels comfortable and valued. Your schedule will primarily be Day Shift, allowing you to engage with residents during peak hours when they are most active.

Each day will involve setting up your workspace, interacting with residents to understand their needs, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You will work closely with the care staff to ensure that any specific health considerations are met, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere that prioritizes the well-being of our clients. This role will allow you to blend your passion for beauty with genuine care for seniors, making every day fulfilling and rewarding.

What we're looking for in a Beautician

To excel as a Beautician at Crandall Medical Center, certain skills are essential. Firstly, a valid Ohio cosmetology license is required, showcasing your expertise in beauty services. Strong interpersonal skills are vital, as you will interact closely with seniors, understanding their unique needs and preferences while creating a warm, welcoming environment. Empathy and patience are crucial as you work with residents who may have varying levels of mobility or sensory challenges.  The right candidate could also have the opportunity of becoming a CNA, which would allow you to transfer residents to wheelchairs for transport to the Beauty Shop and to pick up more hours as a CNA.

Additionally, excellent time management skills will enable you to efficiently schedule and complete appointments while maintaining attention to detail in every service.
