Lycoming College is hiring a Campus Life Fellow
The Campus Life Fellowship position provides an opportunity for a recent college graduate with an interest in community programming/development, media marketing, and incident response to both learn and contribute to the campus community through these position responsibilities. The Fellow will also assist Residential Life staff members in the development and implementation of educational programs to enhance the residential student experience and campus climate.
The Fellow serves in a role that involves sensitive issues, communications, and materials. The role is expected to maintain professionalism and uphold strict confidentiality at all times. The Fellow serves as an impartial, fair, and objective role in consideration of diverse issues and perspectives of our whole community.
This is a live-in position. The position is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 academic year beginning in June and will end May 31, 2027.

What will I do in this role?
  • Support Student Engagement and Leadership: You will play a vital role in cultivating a vibrant, inclusive campus environment by assisting with the creation and implementation of student programs and initiatives. This includes supporting the Student Senate, student organizations, and leadership development efforts that promote belonging and civic engagement
  • Execute Major Annual Events: You will assist in organizing and executing signature programs such as the Involvement Fair, Homecoming, Unity Day, Thanksgiving Dinner, and Late Night Breakfast.
  • Develop Leadership Education: You will help develop and deliver workshops and training experiences designed to build foundational leadership skills and support students in their roles as campus leaders.
  • Provide Event Logistics and On-Site Support: Your role involves assisting students with logistical planning-including catering, facility reservations, and staffing-and attending events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Promote Campus Programs: You will support the promotion of campus activities and events through collaboration with student leaders and established communication channels.
  • Collaborate and Support Operations: You will work closely with campus partners across Student Affairs to advance student success and well-being. Additionally, you will provide operational support for the Dean of Students and assist with fair, learning-focused community standards processes.
  • On-Call Service: You will serve in the Professional Staff On-Call Rotation to support the campus community.

  • Technical Proficiency: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and have the desire to learn new software applications.
  • Independence and Adaptability: You should be able to work independently on projects and be prepared to work various hours, including late nights and weekends, to support campus activities

What are Experience or Skills are we Looking for?
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree required. Experience or interest in professional development in the areas of community programming, media marketing, incident response.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in computer skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (listening, verbal/non-verbal, and written communication skills).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills (attention to detail and accuracy of work a priority).
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse variety of constituencies (students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, community members).
  • Ability to interact with a diverse student population in a sensitive manner required.
  • Ability to effectively organize, manage, and complete concurrent priorities within set time periods.
