Position Summary

Seminole Theatre is seeking enthusiastic Bartenders who can provide excellent customer service in a friendly, creative environment. Responsibilities may include bartending or serving during live theatrical or other public events and support of the operations of all points of sale. Successful candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced service environment, working well under pressure. 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.00-$20.00 and is tip eligible.

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until July 24, 2026.

About the Venue

The Historic Seminole Theatre is the premiere performing arts center of Homestead, Florida. The Seminole provides a creative hub of theater, music, dance, and education in South Miami-Dade County and the Upper Keys. The Seminole Theatre's mission is to make the live performing arts accessible to the diverse community of the greater Homestead region and to attract established and emerging artists of excellence locally, nationally, and internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages.
  • Interact with customers and provide food, snack, and beverage service.
  • Prepare cocktails. 
  • Proper cash handling, including taking orders, accepting payments, and handling cash, debit, and credit cards. 
  • Operating and balancing point-of-sale systems. 
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. 
  • Provide an excellent guest experience. 
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of food and beverage experience.
  • Knowledge of service best practices. 
  • Excellent verbal skills; second language will be considered a plus. 
  • Must maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude. 
  • A relevant training certificate is a plus. 
  • May be required to lift heavy objects as needed. 
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
