Job description

Double A Utility Trailer Sales is looking for an experienced semi trailer technician who is well versed in all facets of semi trailer repairs to join our service department. With over 65 years in the trailer industry, we pride ourselves in excellence and hiring the most qualified candidates in the industry.


Job Type: Full-time 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay based on experience.

Must have reliable transportation.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Run diagnostics and repair trailer issues on brakes, wheels, electrical, and wiring
  • Must be thorough and capable of following instructions and shop guidelines
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of all systems on semi-trailers
  • Brake work including replacement of brake shoes, drums, hubs, seals, bearings, etc.
  • Replacement of chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, and sub frames
  • Landing gear and 5th wheel plate inspections and repair
  • Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim
  • Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails
  • Metal Fabrication
  • Welding


Qualifications

  • Valid CDL A license preferred but not required
  • Strong automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
  • Proficiency with hand tools and vehicle maintenance
  • Experience with transmissions, air brakes, alignment, hydraulics, and suspension systems
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems
  • Previous service technician experience and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and fabrication techniques
