Job description

Our mission at 97th Floor is to elevate people and brands we believe in. Thatโ€™s what weโ€™re focused on when we help our clients meet their marketing goals and lead people to brands and products they need.

Youโ€™ll thrive here if youโ€™re motivated to do work youโ€™re proud of, you enjoy close collaboration, and youโ€™re naturally curious about how search engines and AI search actually work.

Weโ€™ve partnered with companies like AT&T, Oatly, eos, and Zoom. And now weโ€™re looking for someone who wants to join our team with organic search expertise, fresh eyes, and genuine excitement to achieve results.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Work on a team with a content marketer, advertiser, designer, and your manager โ€” the account director. Your team works with about 7-10 clients. You will serve as the SEO and AI Search expert on your team, owning end-to-end organic and AI search strategy โ€” translating each clientโ€™s product offering and target personas into strategic direction across:

Content Strategy
  • Ensure query research (keyword and AI prompt research), content mapping, and content consolidation are happening on the cadence each clientโ€™s SOW calls for, and take ownership of the strategic direction that comes out of them.
  • Collaborate with content, advertising, and design teams to align SEO initiatives with broader marketing goals.
  • Stay ahead of algorithm changes, platform updates, and emerging search trends โ€” including AI-driven search โ€” and share what you learn with the broader team.
Technical Fixes
  • Own the accountโ€™s technical health strategy, making sure Full Technical Audits and ongoing monitoring are happening on schedule and issues are resolved before they affect performance.
Internal Linking
  • Ensure internal link audits and strategy are being executed on schedule across the account, and take ownership of the strategic direction behind them.
Backlink Acquisition
  • Take ownership of backlink fulfillment relationships with BASE or outside contractors, making sure strategic allocation, anchor text guidance, and outreach recommendations are being followed and producing quality links (DR30+, doFollow, indexable, relevant).
Results Tracking and Monitoring
  • Closely monitor results across STAT, Ahrefs, GSC, and GA4, and be the one to raise the alarm early when a strategy isnโ€™t working โ€” then lead the pivot.
  • Own client communication and reporting for your accountsโ€™ SEO initiatives, confidently explaining strategy, results, and recommendations in a way that connects search metrics to real business outcomes.
  • Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing, helping evolve internal playbooks, templates, and reporting standards for the search marketing team.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing or a related field (preferred, not required)
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO/organic search, including experience owning strategy across multiple client accounts
  • Advanced proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Ahrefs (or comparable tools)
  • Skilled in interpreting performance data and translating it into a clear, client-ready narrative โ€” not just what happened, but why
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to prioritize where a clientโ€™s SEO investment will have the biggest impact
  • Experience directing or coordinating outside contractor/vendor relationships (e.g., link-building partners) is a plus
  • Advanced client communication and storytelling skills
BenefitsHealthcare
  • Medical: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Dental: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Vision: 75% paid for employees; 50% for dependents
  • Life Insurance: 100% paid by 97th Floor (coverage = 1x salary, up to $350,000)
Savings + Retirement
  • HSA with up to $150/month match (rolls over and is yours permanently)
  • FSA option for dependent care
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match
ROWE (Results Only Work Environment)

This is a big one. We donโ€™t track hours, but we care deeply about results. You work when, where, and how you want โ€” as long as the work gets done. No vacation policy, no time tracking, no office requirements. Autonomy and accountability go hand in hand here. Youโ€™re always welcome in our Lehi office (coworkers + snacks!), but you choose when you come in.

Parental Leave
  • Primary caregiver: 12 consecutive weeks paid
  • Secondary caregiver: 6 consecutive weeks paid
Perks
  • 97th Floor Library: Ask for a book and weโ€™ll buy it. Read anything already on the shelf. No checkouts required.

  • On-site Gym: 24/7 access with lockers and showers.
