The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing the W-2 Sales Reps and Clinical Sales Specialist contractors and works cross-functionally with other internal departments to maximize sales efforts. This position will focus on increasing, establishing, and carrying out strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop annual sales plans, strategies, and tactics for the region to enhance competitive position and meet customer needs in coordination with Cardiac Diagnostic's sales and business plans.
• Evaluate market and customer trends within the region and adjust plans and strategies to maintain and expand opportunities for sales and margin growth.
• Recruit, direct, and develop all W-2 and contract sales force members (Sales Team) within the region to drive individual and group performance.
• Define and manage the monthly and annual sales objectives for Sales Team.
• Continually evaluate assigned Sales Team and ensure maximum coverage for the customers and prospects in your region to enhance market penetration.
• Proactively monitor and report on issues affecting the region, including competitive pressures, talent, recruiting, market/industry movements, and other business and/or customer challenges that impact regional performance.
• Ensure effective distribution of products in the region, including adequate inventory management.
• Consistently work to improve personal knowledge and sales management skills to become of greater value to current and potential customers.
• Travel with each of your Sales Team as needed to provide coaching and selling techniques to the Sales Team. Ensure the Sales Team is proficient at selling the entire product line to all accounts.
• At a minimum, develop solid business relationships in your top 20 accounts.
• Manage and control expenses to budget and to maximize return on investment. Expense reports for you and your W-2s must be submitted within 30 days of event.
• Support Cardiac Diagnostic's asset management goals, particularly with respect to monitor utilization.
• Ensure that their conduct and the conduct of their team is in accordance with and compliant toward all BSC applicable instructions and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in medical sales
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales management
Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field / MBA highly desirable
• Experience effectively selling/managing in academic medicine environments
• Thorough understanding of reimbursement models and ICD-10/CPT codes in the practice management process
• Demonstrated track record for sales growth and new business development
• Strong/expert knowledge of major competitors in the medical device arena
• Effective communication, coaching, and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of the managed care environment and CMS Local Coverage Determinations is desirable
• Effective working knowledge of EMR that can be leveraged to drive business growth and familiarity with EMR providers is desirable
• Must be able to travel 75% of the time
