Job description

Architecture and residential development firm based in Rhinebeck, NY seeks junior level Architect for work on new high end modern residences Upstate for the development firm and private clients.  Architect will be directly employed by S3 Architecture, and will work in coordination with home building firm Upstate Modernist.  Architect will work in a hybrid working environment, directly with the Principal Architect and the Project Team, assisting in all project stages, from design to construction documents and contract administration. Architect should possess strong design, communication and representational skills, and be able to take an active and collaborative role in the operations of the firm. Requirements include:

·       Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture.

·       2 years minimum professional architecture firm experience.

·       To be based in Mid-Hudson Valley and ability to drive to Rhinebeck office and job sites in the area 2x per week min.

·       Ability to assist with all phases of a project; from research and concepts to design and details through to project completion.

·       Hard working, motivated and self-sufficiently; ability to work well independently and in a group.

·       Focused, articulate, well organized, and detail-oriented.

·       Strong design abilities and graphic sensibilities.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Skilled at direct interaction with Clients, Construction Managers, Subcontractors and Vendors.

·       Experience in working on fully coordinated drawing sets.

·       Complete fluency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD; strong proficiency in AI Image generation, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office required.

·       Excellence in 3D presentation, production and technical skills.

·       Authorization to work in the United States.
