Job description

Self-Direct, Inc. PERS Field Tech / Scheduling Coordinator

Self-Direct, Inc. is looking for a motivated and adaptable PERS Field Tech / Scheduling Coordinator to join our PERS team. This unique dual role blends office-based coordination with hands-on fieldwork — you'll manage scheduling and customer communications while also traveling to client homes to install equipment, provide training, and resolve technical issues. If you thrive in a role where no two days are exactly alike, this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Customer Service

  • Receive, schedule, and coordinate PERS installations, service calls, and discontinuances
  • Handle incoming customer calls including complaints and concerns; follow up and document all issues
  • Sign on new customers over the phone and provide phone-based training
  • Troubleshoot service calls with vendor technical support
  • Communicate all customer changes and concerns to case managers or natural supports

Field Operations & Technical Services

  • Perform PERS equipment installations, disconnect pickups, and technical service calls in the field
  • Thoroughly train clients and household members on all equipment, processes, and paperwork
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues in the field to expedite resolution
  • Prepare all field documentation and complete service call and pick-up tickets

Administrative & Inventory Management

  • Track and maintain PERS equipment inventory; clean and maintain equipment as needed
  • Prepare PERS installation folders, contracts, and change forms
  • Maintain accurate filing and departmental records
  • Review, track, and troubleshoot daily reports promptly, including on-call duties
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • B.A. or Associate's degree with one (1) year of similar experience preferred; OR
  • Three (3) years of relevant working experience in a similar role

Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people
  • Capable of managing a variety of tasks and completing each thoroughly and on time
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
Compensation & Benefits
