Grand Rapids - 76th and 131 area
7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - or longer, until orders are completed
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - Thursday/Sunday off
Pay is $16 per hour.
 
 
The Order Selector is responsible for working in a team environment in a warehouse completing pallet orders to be distributed to Meijer stores company wide.This position accurately distributes product by use of conveyor.   
 
This position works in a warehouse setting.  This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as box cutters, tape dispensers and powered hand jacks. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  •  Break down incoming palletized loads.
  • Correctly label product and place lengthwise on conveyor.
  • Ensure product picked is accurate and gently placed on conveyor to prevent damage.
  • Inform shift supervisor of any discrepancies in product ordered to actual product stored in bin.
  • Inform shift supervisor of any damaged product.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Keep work area clean by picking up pallets, plastic, cardboard, paper and scrap pieces of wood and place in designated areas.
  • Working both individually and as a member of a team on a day in, day out basis.
  • Communicating both with your supervisor and coworkers appropriately to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor in both action and appearance.
  • Maintaining a quick work pace with optimum time management to maximize productivity.
  • Learning and maintaining safe work practices.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Warehouse picking/order selection experience preferred
