Job description

The Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified nurses to support branch staffing needs and census growth.

This role focuses on building a strong pipeline of clinical talent, ensuring new hires are placed efficiently into home care settings, and supporting branch staffing stability. The Healthcare Recruiter operates with urgency, organization, and market awareness to meet hiring expectations and staffing demands.

Reports To: Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

Core Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead external recruitment efforts to hire qualified nurses to fulfill open shifts and patient cases.

  • Establish recruiting priorities in collaboration with branch leadership to address staffing gaps.

  • Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, community outreach, schools, and networking channels.

  • Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to assess qualifications, clinical alignment, and interest in home-based care.

  • Maintain fluency in recruiting tactics, processes, and platforms to remain competitive in the local market.

  • Document recruiting activity and candidate progression within the applicant tracking system.

Hiring & Placement

  • Generate offer letters and initiate onboarding processes for selected candidates.

  • Assist new hires through onboarding steps in coordination with the People Services Specialist.

  • Collaborate with branch leadership to place fully hired nurses into home care cases based on skill set and patient needs.

  • Provide staffing support aligned with assigned caseload demands.

Business & Operational Support

  • Meet established hiring and start expectations to support branch census and growth objectives.

  • Maintain professional relationships with candidates, employees, and referral sources.

  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding market competitiveness, compensation trends, and recruiting challenges.

  • Support additional office responsibilities as needed to assist branch operations.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, patient, and company information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and hire in a competitive healthcare market.

  • Strong understanding of recruiting tactics, sourcing strategies, and applicant tracking systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple open requisitions and staffing priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum one year of recruiting, staffing, or sales experience preferred.

Pay Range: $80,168.40 salary with bonus
