Job description

Do you enjoy creating organized, efficient systems that keep operations running smoothly? Are you someone who takes ownership of inventory accuracy, order flow, and getting the right product to the customer on time? Do you enjoy leading a team while improving the systems behind a growing fulfillment operation?
About Us
MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.
Our seed division produces, processes, and distributes one of the largest selections of native seed in the region. From cleaned seed to final shipment, the fulfillment team supports restoration contractors, government agencies, conservation organizations, retailers, wholesale partners, and other customers with accurate, high-quality seed products.
The Opportunity
The Warehouse & Fulfillment Supervisor leads MNL's centralized seed fulfillment operation, ensuring native seed orders are blended, packaged, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the fulfillment team while owning the warehouse systems, inventory controls, seed-lot traceability, and shipping processes that support seed sales across the company.
This position is accountable for the reliability of the operation from the time cleaned seed enters the facility through final shipment to the customer. You'll establish priorities, maintain visibility into inventory and order flow, resolve operational issues, and improve systems as seed volume continues to grow.
Success in this role requires more than supervising daily tasks. It requires the ability to understand the full operation, establish consistent processes, maintain accurate inventory, develop employees, and make decisions that improve quality, throughput, and long-term capacity.
What You Will Do
Fulfillment Operations
  • Lead the performance of MNL's centralized seed fulfillment operation, ensuring orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Translate order demand and fulfillment priorities into clear daily and weekly work plans
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and workflow to maintain throughput during changing demand and seasonal peaks
  • Monitor order progress and resolve issues that could affect accuracy, quality, or delivery timelines
  • Ensure seed blending, packaging, labeling, and order preparation meet established quality and customer requirements
  • Maintain accountability for the final operational step between cleaned seed inventory and completed customer shipment

Inventory Control & Seed-Lot Traceability
  • Own inventory accuracy and seed-lot traceability throughout the fulfillment facility
  • Ensure seed lots are properly received, identified, labeled, stored, tested, and tracked within warehouse systems
  • Maintain records needed to demonstrate seed-lot integrity and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements
  • Establish inventory-control practices that reduce errors, protect product integrity, and maintain reliable availability information
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate the accurate transfer of incoming seed from production into fulfillment inventory

Shipping & Logistics
  • Manage shipping operations for seed orders, including carrier coordination, shipment preparation, documentation, and pickup scheduling
  • Ensure shipments meet carrier requirements, customer expectations, and internal quality standards
  • Troubleshoot delayed, damaged, incomplete, or inaccurate shipments and coordinate timely solutions
  • Evaluate shipping practices and carrier performance to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness
  • Maintain clear visibility into pending, completed, and delayed shipments

Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate warehouse layout, fulfillment workflows, and operating systems to ensure they support current needs and future growth
  • Develop and maintain procedures that promote order accuracy, inventory control, seed-lot integrity, and consistent execution
  • Monitor fulfillment performance and use operational information to identify bottlenecks, recurring errors, and capacity risks
  • Implement practical improvements that increase throughput, organization, accuracy, and scalability
  • Help evaluate future equipment, storage, technology, and facility needs as fulfillment volume grows

Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, train, and develop the Seed Fulfillment Lead and Seed Fulfillment Technicians
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, accuracy, efficiency, product quality, and workplace organization
  • Hold employees accountable for following fulfillment procedures and completing work to established standards
  • Coordinate with sales, seed operations, and agronomy regarding seed availability, incoming inventory, order changes, and fulfillment priorities

What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, production, inventory control, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience leading employees and coordinating day-to-day work within a warehouse, production, or fulfillment operation.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, product traceability, shipping logistics, and order fulfillment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve workflows, operating procedures, or systems that increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.
  • Strong operational judgment with the ability to balance staffing, inventory availability, order priorities, and customer commitments.
  • Experience investigating operational issues, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple products, inventory lots, customer orders, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and inventory, ERP, warehouse management, or order processing systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across sales, production, agronomy, and fulfillment teams.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of operational outcomes, and lead the continued development of a centralized warehouse and fulfillment operation.
  • Experience supporting regulated, lot-controlled, agricultural, food, seed, or other traceability-sensitive operations is preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with seed dust exposure.

The pay range for this role is:
26.50 - 34 USD per hour (G1)
