Job description

Description

Conditioning Operators work closely with Location Manager and to ensure that all conditioned runs meet customer quality requirements, while also attempting to maximize the total number of units bagged from each run.  This position can include shift work and weekends during critical times if necessary.  Other essential job functions may include but not limited to:

  •  Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company QMS program
  •  Operating seed conditioning equipment according to instructions, including taking and documenting quality checks and activity as required
  •  Thoroughly cleaning all equipment between conditioning runs in order to maintain product integrity
  •  Assisting with tower maintenance activities
  •  Ensuring product integrity through cleaning between conditioning runs and when transferring seed into processing tower
  •  Operating tower to minimize bagger downtime due to lack of seed to package
  •  Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment
  •  Accurate completion of all conditioning records
  •  Preforming preseason maintenance to prevent downtime during conditioning season
  • Being flexible to assist in other areas of the location as needs arise 
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

  • Agricultural background is beneficial
