Job description

Limagrain Cereal Seeds (LCS) is currently seeking a Seed Production Associate to assist the production manager with Breeder seed production, conditioning, processing, and packaging to ensure seed purity is maintained.


Responsibilities

In this role, you will coordinate with growers, federal and state agencies, contractors, and LCS staff to obtain the required inspections, seed testing, and phenotypic data for Breeder seed; implement LCS Quality Assurance protocols; and operate, maintain, and repair small seed production equipment for use in the field or in seed processing, among other duties.


Qualifications

Technical SkillsPractical knowledge and experience in all aspects of crop production and/or seed production

•Commercial Driver's License (Class A) License for the state of ColoradoHolds and forklift operator's certificate, CDL Driver's License.

•Holds Pesticide Applicator licenses (General, Ag Weed Control, Seed Treatment, Ag Plant Disease, and Ag Insect Control), issued by the Colorado Department of Agriculture

•Minimum of a high school diploma;

•Equivalent job experience in agronomy, agriculture, or horticulture desired.

•Experience managing field crops desired

•Prior experience with farm equipment operation

•Experience with cereal production and related agronomic practices desired
