Job description

Two Rivers Cooperative is currently seeking a Custom Applicator that is responsible for application of crop nutrients (CN) and crop protection products (CPP). The applicator is responsible for keeping Two Rivers equipment clean and functional. The Custom Applicator will professionally represent Two Rivers in the community and in all interactions with customers.
Location: 311 Highway 163, Otley, IA 50214
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am-5pm; Seasonally Saturdays for spraying and NH3
Essential Operations
  • Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles (sprayers, spreaders, trucks, etc.)
  • Mixing, loading and application of CN and CPP
  • Apply CPP at applicable rates to the appropriate fields
  • Handle and deliver bulk and packaged CPP
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Maintain application/spray records
  • Manage customer service relations
  • Organize and coordinate application timetable with customers
  • Knowledgeable with seed, CPP and CN to make informed decisions

• Other duties as assigned.
Goal and Success Factors:
  • Sprays producers' fields accurately and timely
  • Minimizes downtime by ensuring equipment is in operable condition
  • Customers' fields are sprayed correctly and in a timely fashion
  • All paperwork is appropriately recorded and all log sheets are completed daily
