Seed Analyst

Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company is a leader in the lawn care industry. We seek a highly motivated, conscientious, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Seed Analyst in Greenfield, Missouri.

Shift Details:

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Location:

  • Greenfield, MO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross training for the ability to perform varied tasks associated with seed testing.
  • Purity and noxious seed analysis.
  • TZ testing.
  • Germination evaluation.
  • Fluorescence test for ryegrass.
  • Vacuum germination planting.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • RST, Registered Seed Technologist preferred, but not required.
  • Seed or Plant Science background preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work with magnification, tweezers, and various lab equipment pertaining to seed testing.
  • Work flexible hours as needed.
  • This position requires working closely with other lab personnel and the ability to maintain respect for co-workers.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
