We are currently seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer to join our team in Milford, CT.

Position Overview

The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong situational awareness, and excellent judgment while carrying out assigned security duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned property and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or violations of rules
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity
  • Control access to the property by verifying identification and authorizations
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
  • Write detailed incident and activity reports
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and local law enforcement when necessary
  • Enforce company and client policies in a professional manner

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Connecticut Security Guard License
  • Valid Connecticut Armed Security Permit (Blue Card)
  • Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Strong observational and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Reliable transportation to the Milford area

Schedule

  • Full-time, part-time, and floater shifts available
  • First Shift, Second Shift and Third Shift available
  • Overtime is always available
  • Evening, overnight, and weekend availability may be required depending on assignment
