Job Description
The Security Systems Administrator / Badging Assistant is responsible for the administration, monitoring, reporting, auditing, and continuous improvement support of site security systems, including access control, video management, and alarm monitoring platforms. This position serves as the primary Allied Universal resource for security systems administration, compliance tracking, operational reporting, documentation management, and security technology support while working in coordination with System Owners.
The role focuses on proactive system health monitoring, process management, operational effectiveness, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement to support site security objectives. Responsibilities include maintaining system records, tracking and reporting system performance, supporting audits and corrective actions, assisting with security technology projects, and identifying opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
In addition, this position provides support for badging and access control administration through report generation, access request tracking, credential lifecycle management, onboarding and offboarding activities, badge inventory management, and compliance monitoring. The role serves as a key liaison between security operations, badging functions, and site stakeholders to ensure accurate records, regulatory compliance, and effective security program support.
The focus of this position is security systems administration, operational support, reporting, compliance, and process improvement rather than physical hardware installation, maintenance, or system ownership.

Essential Responsibilities:
Security Systems Administration
• Administer and support ProWatch, Genetec, and other assigned security platforms.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify issues before operational impact occurs.
• Monitor system alerts, failures, and abnormalities and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain system administration procedures, job aids, and user documentation.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, and configuration changes with Amgen System Owners.
• Maintain system records, backups, and databases in accordance with company standards.
• Track recurring system issues and support corrective action implementation.
• Review alarm configurations and recommend improvements to reduce nuisance alarms.
• Maintain inventories of security technology assets, including cameras, servers, workstations, and software licenses.
Badging & Access Control Administration
• Assist with employees, contractors, visitors, and temporary badge requests.
• Support badge issuance, replacement, suspension, and termination processes.
• Conduct access reviews and support compliance verification activities.
• Audit inactive badge records and support removal of unnecessary access permissions.
• Process and track BARS requests and access code requests.
• Maintain badge inventory and credentialing supplies.
• Investigate badge access anomalies and credential discrepancies.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities through access management processes.
• Ensure adherence to site and corporate access control requirements.
Audits & Compliance
• Develop and maintain recurring security audit schedules.
• Track audit findings and corrective actions through completion.
• Conduct periodic reviews of:
oAccess control permissions
oCamera coverage
oSecurity equipment status
oEmergency communication systems
oBadge inventories
oSecurity operations documentation
• Maintain security program records and required compliance documentation.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Assist in maintaining audit readiness across security-related programs.
Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
• Develop and maintain security system performance metrics and reporting tools.
• Create and maintain dashboards for:
oAlarm activity
oNuisance alarms
oCamera outages
oBadge issuance activity
oAccess control exceptions
oOperational performance metrics
• Generate weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Analyze recurring issues and identify long-term improvement opportunities.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain project trackers, action item lists, and performance dashboards.
• Present system performance trends and recommendations to the Security Account Manager and Assistant Account Manager as needed.
Project Coordination
• Support security system enhancement and improvement projects.
• Track project milestones, risks, and action items.
• Assist with new security technology deployments and upgrades.
• Ensure project documentation, turnover materials, and records are completed and maintained.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience administering or supporting electronic security, access control, video management, or alarm monitoring systems.
• Experience with reporting, compliance, auditing, or operational administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Power BI, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with limited supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
