About the Role:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading Production and Warehouse operations to safely manufacture and deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements for quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. This position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for production supervisors, warehouse personnel, and manufacturing employees while ensuring efficient execution of production schedules, inventory management, material flow, and shipping operations.

The Manufacturing Operations Manager partners closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to support manufacturing readiness, implement engineering changes, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement. This role is accountable for building a high-performing organization through employee development, operational discipline, Lean Manufacturing principles, and a culture focused on safety, accountability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For: 
Manufacturing Operations Leadership
  • Lead Production and Warehouse operations to safely achieve quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and inventory objectives.
  • Direct daily manufacturing activities to meet customer commitments while optimizing labor and equipment utilization.
  • Coach and develop supervisors and employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Production Execution
  • Execute production schedules by balancing labor, equipment, and material availability to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are standardized, documented, and consistently followed to support quality and efficiency.
  • Lead production readiness activities, including process changes, ECOs, training, certifications, and new product introductions.
Warehouse & Material Management
  • Oversee receiving, inventory control, material movement, shipping, and logistics operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through effective warehouse processes, transaction management, and cycle counting.
  • Optimize material flow to support manufacturing efficiency and on-time customer deliveries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Operations to execute manufacturing priorities.
  • Collaborate on process improvements, equipment utilization, quality initiatives, and corrective actions.
  • Support audits, customer visits, supplier interactions, and compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, inventory management, and cost performance.
  • Utilize operational metrics to drive sustainable improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
People Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing manufacturing workforce.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support employee development and succession planning.
  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.
Operational & Financial Management
  • Manage labor, overtime, and operating budgets while monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, ISO 9001 quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies, with proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including 3 years leading supervisors and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing environments, including additive manufacturing, electronics assembly, or capital equipment manufacturing; NPI and manufacturing transfer experience preferred.
