Job description


  • Provide consulting services to clients in order to evaluate, recommend, design and implement information security solutions and process improvements

  • Identify client requirements by establishing personal rapport with all clients and internal and external resources to understand business and information security requirements

  • Develop knowledge of supported client areas and builds relationships by assessing, evaluating and fully understanding the needs and requirements of clients

  • Provide strategic support to clients and leaders and advise clients on best practices and how to implement changes to address their business needs, potentially through the preparation of recommended alternatives

  • Review and assess necessary data to address clients' business and information security needs

  • Lead process improvement and long-term information security solution discussions, and present outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management

  • Drive investigative activities arising from security events escalated from the security operations center (SOC)

  • Oversee cybersecurity emergency response actions including zero-day mitigation

  • Be a key participant in project development surrounding new processes and the integration of new processes with existing ones; communicate changes to impacted clients and other resources

  • May require extended work hours and overnight travel (up to 15%)


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 6 to 9+ years of experience in Information Security, Security Operations, IT Compliance/Risk Management, or related field

  • Experience in information security operations in AWS cloud (Commercial and/or GovCloud) environments

  • CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GCIH, or related professional certification preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Information Security and concepts related to continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, security incident response, and security policy/governance

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to tailor oral and written communications to their intended audiences
