The Security Manager provides visionary leadership across all security operations, safeguarding guests, employees, and organizational assets while cultivating a culture of safety, trust, and excellence. This leadership role partners with the Assistant General Manager and cross-functional teams to develop and execute a proactive, intelligence-driven security strategy aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements.

This role drives continuous improvement through data analysis, technology adoption, and team development while balancing operational agility with fiscal responsibility to deliver measurable security outcomes and exceptional guest experiences.

Guest Experience

Design and enforce security protocols that prioritize guest safety without compromising a welcoming, hospitable environment.

Monitor service quality metrics and implement targeted improvements to sustain high guest satisfaction scores.

Resolve guest concerns swiftly and professionally, escalating situations as warranted.

Serve as a knowledgeable resource on property amenities and local area information.

People Leadership & Talent Development

Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing security team through strategic recruiting, onboarding, and continuous coaching.

Coordinate with Engineering to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues affecting safety or security.

Ensure accurate asset tracking in partnership with Corporate; maintain integrity of equipment inventory.

Communication, Reporting & Administration

Facilitate clear, transparent, and diplomatic cross-departmental communication through regular briefings and leadership updates.

Produce accurate operational and compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Leverage data and analytics to inform security strategy and present actionable insights to stakeholders.

Lead or contribute to special projects, task forces, and committees as directed by senior leadership

Associates/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred (additional training [e.g. military, law enforcement] and education is highly desirable)

Security Management, Emergency Management, or related field - or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum 5 years of progressive security leadership experience, preferably within hospitality/hotels.

Demonstrated success managing multi-shift operations in a 24/7 environment.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification; alcohol awareness certification preferred.

Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook required

Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment, as well as customer-service oriented atmosphere

Working Conditions | Physical Demands

This position operates across both indoor and outdoor environments. The role requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching, as well as occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Associates may encounter variable temperatures, chemical exposures, noise, and other environmental conditions. Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones etc. A valid driver's license is required. The ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required.

Other Information

The hotel business functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and always be aware that it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be always maintained.
