Position Summary

The Director of Security Operations is responsible for overseeing all on-site security personnel and operations. This role ensures proper staffing, officer training, compliance with policies and procedures, and strong client relationships. The Director will work closely with the client and company leadership to achieve operational goals and maintain the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional interaction with clients and visitors
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication
  • Develop and implement site-specific security policies and procedures
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring officers complete required duties (timesheets, logs, reports, incident documentation)
  • Review and verify all reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and operational coverage
  • Establish an enterprise-wide security vision and strategy, including risk assessments and mitigation plans
  • Deliver security awareness programs to foster a security-conscious culture
  • Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement, intelligence, and emergency services
  • Train new security officers comprehensively
  • Address employee relations and payroll concerns promptly
  • Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with uniform and equipment standards
  • Utilize and oversee security systems including CCTV, and reporting technology
  • Enforce company policies and administer coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of security experience at different levels and 2 years of security supervision experience required
  • Background in corrections, law enforcement, military, account management, or security operations preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and security technology
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with on-call availability
  • Must pass background screening and drug testing
