ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES other duties may be assigned:

  • Shall ensure the safety of customers, employees and others while on the premises of HCCTR to include the racing, barn areas, and events showroom.
  • Ensure the Safety of guest and team members.
  • Greets patrons and visually inspects bags, purses, and the patron for unauthorized items.
  • Assists customers and employees and reports critical situations (medical emergencies, irate customers, etc).
  • Continual observation and patrolling, as directed, of the casino premises, buildings and grounds, corridors, barn areas, office areas and parking facilities of HCCTR.
  • Ensures the integrity of all slot and table games of HCCTR.
  • Transports gaming chips to and from gaming tables in accordance with internal control procedures.
  • Performs the drop for table games including poker, in accordance to internal control procedures.
  • Reports critical situations to appropriate supervisor
  • Reports to the Security management, any violations, acts or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of HCCTR. 
  • Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Advises violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
  • Assists in any internal or external investigations conducted by HCCTR or authorized local authorities
  • Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
  • Sounds alarm or notifies supervision verbally, by radio, or by telephone in case of fire, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Permits authorized persons to enter property.
  • Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
  • May be called on to regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain orderly flow.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  
  • Ensures behavior and appearance meet established standards.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality at all times with respect to the internal functions of the Security department as well as any other information deemed to be confidential.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.
  • Participates in meetings and training as required.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner and reports safety hazards immediately.
  • Prepares reports as requested or required.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and others.  Effective in communicating and presenting information and responding to questions from supervisors, managers, fellow employees and/or the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment. CPR certification is mandatory.  Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record in order to determine continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.

Other Qualifications             

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.  Must have good observation skills.  Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.  Must be diplomatic and tactful; speak clearly and politely; respond well to questions.  Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.  Previous customer service experience preferred. Champion of Red Carpet Customer Service and building positive team spirit.  Previous customer service experience preferred.
